ABOUT
Platinum Performing Arts was founded with one main vision: to create a high quality performing arts space that is accessible and welcoming to all. Mother-daughter duo Lexa & Christy have spent years with their favorite pastime being to call each other and say "If I were running a studio I'd..." (and they could talk like this for hours). With almost 40 years of professional performing arts and education experience between them, these discussions stopped being theoretical when they decided to put all of their experience into the project of their dreams: a dance and theatre studio. There was a phone call in 2023 that ended with "Let's do it.", and Platinum Performing Arts was founded as a non-profit organization three months later.
While Platinum's studio doors are opening in August 2024, the programming has been years in the making. Every cumulative experience that the founding members have in performing, teaching, directing, inclusion services, choreographing, marketing, and managing has been researched, refined, and poured into this organization. Platinum is truly a labor of love and passion for the performing arts community. Whether you are a new student, a seasoned dancer, creative professional, or a theatre lover- we hope you'll join us in creating a space where all performing artists can thrive.
With a specific emphasis on serving individuals with special needs, low-income families, and underserved populations of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and orientations, we aim to provide an inclusive and supportive environment where every child has access to high quality performing arts education and performance opportunities.
